UFO and Armored Saint Play To ‘Sold Out’ Crowd in Anaheim – October 10, 2019

The crowds got their early for this one. UFO and Armored Saint were set to play to a “Sold Out” crowd at The Grove in Anaheim, California. UFO is currently on their 50th Anniversary tour across north America. The toured started on October 9th in San Francisco, CA and concludes in Uncasville, CT on November 2nd.

Tonight Armored Saint took the stage around 8:30pm. Armored Saint formed back in 1982 in Los Angeles and have always had a loyal following in the LA area. They are currently supporting UFO for a few shows on the west coast. The band took the stage and started off their set with “Reign of Fire.” From there they went into songs like “Can U Deliver,” “Creepy Feelings,” “Seducer,” “For the Sake of Heaviness” just to name a few. Great to see the crowd sing along with these guys. A perfect way to get the night started and primed for the headliner.

It was finally time for UFO to hit the stage. This was the first opportunity I’d had to catch them live. UFO is no stranger to the music scene. They formed in London back in 1968. With a career spanning over 50 years, UFO has managed to release 22 studio albums and 14 live recordings. Tonight it was an honor to have them play in Anaheim. They got things started with “Mother Mary” then went right into “We Belong To The Night.” They received a warm welcome from the crowd of loyal fans. It was evident the crowd knew the songs as they cheered and sang along to fan favorites like “Baby Blue” and “Rock Bottom.” We were also fortunate enough to get an encore that ended the night with “Doctor Doctor” and “Shoot Shoot.”
