Metalachi said adios to 2019 and to the last two original members, Vega de la Rockha and El Cucuy at The Canyon Montclair in Montclair, California on Saturday, December 21st, 2019.  Guitarrón player, Kiko Cane, also played his final show with the group.  Fans came from all over to make sure to catch their final show and you could feel the emotion they had after following the band for almost 10 years. They had just played to over 1,000 fans the night before at the House of Blues in Anaheim, so it was a great send-off weekend for them.

The band performed some of their most well-known songs including “Rainbow in the Dark,” “Rock and Roll All Nite” and “Give Me Some Chon Chon.”  People were dancing and singing while watching Queen Kyla Vera on violin, Kiko Cane on guitarrón, Paco Halen on guitar, El Cucuy on trumpet and Vega de la Rockha on vocals.  Their stage presence always brings cheers from the crowd and they always want them to keep playing. In between songs, Vega and El Cucuy add comedy to their show and the crowd erupts with laughter.  A surprise appearance was made at the very end by new Lamb of God drummer, Art Cruz and the fans loved it.

Since this was Vega’s and El Cucuy’s last show with Metalachi, they decided to end the show with the first song they ever made a music video for: Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. It was a special moment for everyone to remember how far they’ve come during all these years and all the amazing shows they’ve put on.

Metalachi wrapped up a successful year and they will be back in 2020. You will also be able to catch Vega and El Cucuy in their new band, Charros of Rock, where they will have different personas as Ricky Rodd and Mavero Duran but will still be the same entertaining musicians we all love. Now instead of having one awesome band to party with, the fans will have two!
