1st December 2019: Line Up – Sallow Pillow; Delta Radio; Headline Act: Dirty Sound Magnet

From the outset, the original and electric atmosphere that the band created and opened their set is unique and intellectually dynamic. The explosive creativity of Swiss Rock, Psychadelic, Alternative, High Energy rock band Dirty Sound Magnet is crystal clear. The heightened levels of fever pitch frenzy that emerges from the artists as they connect with their audience, uses an original mode and style to enhance their ninety minute journey through their exploratory and analytical genre smashing musical repertoire.

The quality of their current album ‘Transgenic; is elevated by the ecstatic live performance. The connection between the band and their material creates a synergy that provokes the audience to tune in and become part of the overall experience – this is impressive as a feature of Dirty Sound Magnet, the ideation of music with people rather than for people is distinguished, purposeful and compliments their stance on their active and increasingly dramatic live performance on stage.

The Live Rooms venue in Chester UK, provided a low ceiling that pulls the audience into the experience further, a connection that the acoustics gave the band ownership of their stage and venue. With two support acts preceding the main attraction, the focus on the set that has been designed to encompass every concept under review and is staged well to promote the dynamic of each element that has been crafted together. These gifted musicians have live energy magnetism and produce live music that engages the soul and minds of their audience.  There is something progressive and stylistic in this developed artistry. Imagine a literary classic such as Wuthering Heights and the complexity of relationships, re-imagined in a contemporary sense using hypnotic stylism and rocked with energy and re-scripted through a Led Zeppelin-esque kaleidoscope of emotional genuinity, and you can begin to capture what Dirty Sound Magnet are working towards. As a live performance, this is dedicated brilliance.

The ‘Trangenic movement begins with a showcase of the musically diverse capability and technical instrumentation divergence. As an example, the stretch given to the Fender Telecaster’s bluesy feel  and Gibson deeper tones in the guitar work solo moments from Stavros is torn through a complex floor unit set up and pulses dramatically with a fluidic bass from Marco. The Drums and FX vocals from Maxime are impressively staged to create mood and vibe adding to the mysticism and psycho-active material compositions.  The performance is solid and leaves the crowd wanting more and the vocal harmonies are pitched to carry their output into the night and onwards, the viral and more epic musical moments from the concert will stay with an audience long after the event.

The band is one to watch out for and the growing back catalogue is now creating the movement that will continue to morph and develop as the artistic Transgenisis continues.
