Tonight brought the haunting sounds of Zombeast to the world famous Whisky A Go Go in West HollywoodCalifornia. Originally formed back in 2006, Zombeast hails from Phoenix/Flagstaff, Arizona. They ended up recording an album shortly there after, but then things got a bit challenging for them. They ended up going on a 10 year hiatus, but now they are back in full force! Tonight Los Angeles was privileged to have them play on the evening of Samhain.

There’s no doubt that Zombeast is heavily influenced by ghoul bands like MisfitsSamhainDanzigAFI, and Son Of Sam. Not only that, even after being on pause for so long, they have a loyal fan base that is relentless. This time around they were part of the Autumn Rites Tour 2019 which included Argyle Goolsby and the Roving MidnightScurvy KidsOctobristsDisrupted Euphoria and Secret Circle Society. As soon as I arrived I made my way to the merch booth as they have of the best T-shirt designs and they also had the exclusive 12″ pressing of their debut album on both black vinyl and the limited edition pressing on orange/black swirled vinyl of which only 100 copies were pressed. A must have for any Zombeast fan.

As the stage was being prepared for the band, you could feel the anticipation from the crowd as they were yelling for Zombeast to start.

It was finally time for the these ghouls to take the stage. The crowd of devoted Zombeast fans at the Whisky went nuts. It’s always great to see a band with such a devoted following. They started their set with a new song called “Red Ripper” which was a perfect opener. Really looking forward to the release of their new material. They went on to play fan favorites like “Black Death,” “Witch,” “Wolfskin Killer,” and “Eternity.”  The crowd was singing along to all their songs and started a mosh pit as they just couldn’t get enough. If that wasn’t enough, they played a killer cover of “Hollywood Babylon” from The Misfits. What a treat!

There was no better way to spend my Samhain, but with Zombeast! To stay on top of latest with Zombeast be sure to check out  https://www.facebook.com/Zombeast666 and https://zombeast.net.
