On Wednesday, December 4th, the new Mongolian metal band, The Hu, played to a large crowd at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, California.  The band began touring earlier this year and have been performing their debut album, The Gereg.  They put on a spectacular performance using a blend of traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing.  Their show is an experience that no one should miss.

Along with traditional Mongolian instruments, they pumped the crowd with their stage presence so it’s no wonder why their shows have been selling out across the United States.  Their music can be relaxing and hypnotic but then switch to a heavier sound effortlessly.  They’re able to merge genres of Mongolian folk and rock so well that you can’t wait to hear what more they have in store.

Before they ended the night, they came out for an encore performance that was demanded by the fans.  Shouts of “Hu! Hu! Hu!” echoed throughout the theater and then applause erupted once the band came back out.

Their North American tour finishes on December 10th in Los Angeles and then they start their tours in Australia, Europe, and Japan in 2020.  Considering how new to the scene they are, they’re bound to become even bigger so make sure to follow them on their social media platforms to catch some shows!
