Pierce the Veil rolled into The Armory in Minneapolis for their “I Can’t Hear You” Tour, and honestly, it felt like an entire community gathered for one big, amazing release. From the moment Beach Weather kicked things off to a mind-blowing encore with Kellin Quinn, it was a night packed with pure emotion, connection, and just relentless, good old rock and roll energy.

First up, Beach Weather completely charmed me. They brought this super chill, sun kissed vibe that instantly put a smile on my face. Imagine driving with the windows down on a perfect day, listening to shimmering synths and those effortlessly cool guitar lines, that was their set. Nick Santino’s voice was like butter, and he told stories with every note. They’ve got this cool blend of The 1975’s glossy feel with the genuine heart of Winnetka Bowling League. Their set was highlighted by a cheeky tribute to Kellin Quinn during “Sex, Drugs, Etc.” felt like driving with the windows down on a perfect day. They are definitely a band I’m keeping my eye on.

Then, Sleeping With Sirens hit the stage and, no joke, the whole room just ignited. The second Kellin Quinn’s voice soared through the crowd, you could feel the shift. This wasn’t just a band playing songs; it was a total outpouring of energy. The Minneapolis crowd showed up loud, especially during “Go Go Go,” which turned the floor into a jumping, screaming sea of energy. When they launched into “Trophy Father Trophy Son,” it felt like the entire room was singing in unison, raw emotion and full of heart. Every song in the set felt like it carried weight, like the band knew exactly what fans came to hear. But the most powerful moment wasn’t a song, it was when Kellin stopped everything after noticing fans in the pit needed medical help. Even with “If You Can’t Hang” on deck and the crowd buzzing, he didn’t hesitate to cut the set short for safety. You could feel the disappointment, sure, but also the deep respect. It was a moment that reminded me why so many people have stayed loyal to this band, they genuinely care. Sleeping With Sirens didn’t just play a show, they showed up with heart, and Minneapolis gave it right back.

As the lights dimmed for Pierce the Veil, you could already hear it – a wave of “P T V! P T V!” chants echoing through The Armory. The anticipation was thick, a sea of voices just vibrating with excitement. And when they finally exploded into “Death of an Executioner,” the energy just went through the roof and pretty much stayed there for the rest of the night.

The setlist was a love letter to every era of Pierce the Veil’s discography. Fan favorites like “Hell Above” and “Caraphernelia” sent the pit into a frenzy, while deep cuts and new material added emotional depth. A standout moment came when the band went all the way back to their 2007 debut A Flair for the Dramatic to play “Wonderless”, a surprise that longtime fans hadn’t expected but fully embraced. The crowd absolutely erupted when the opening notes of “Yeah Boy and Doll Face” rang out, the entire venue screaming every word back like it was 2010 all over again.

The visuals completely pulled you in. Seeing Vic live on the big screens made it feel like you were right there with him, no matter where you were standing. The production took everything to the next level, with strobes and video backdrops that weren’t just for show; they were part of the story. The sound at The Armory was spot on. Every layered riff and vocal came through crystal clear. And the crowd’s energy didn’t just fill the room, it became part of the experience.

After what felt like a perfect closing with “Circles”, the house lights stayed low, and the crowd knew what was coming.

Pierce the Veil came back out for a three song encore that just cemented the night as unforgettable. The final stretch was awesome, but the absolute peak, the moment that nearly blew the roof off The Armory, was “King for a Day.” Kellin Quinn came back out on stage to do his iconic guest vocals live! Watching those two frontmen trade lines, with the whole crowd screaming along word for word, was just… electric. It felt like a full circle moment, a triumphant, nostalgic send off for a night built on shared history, pure passion, and incredible performances.

By the time the last note faded, and the lights finally came all the way up, I was buzzing. This wasn’t just a concert; it was a full body, cathartic experience. Pierce the Veil reminded everyone why they’ve been at the top of the scene for so long: they don’t just play music, they create moments. From the emotional throwbacks to the massive singalongs, and that unforgettable encore with Kellin Quinn, the “I Can’t Hear You” Tour didn’t just live up to the hype, it totally blew it out of the water. Minneapolis showed up loud, and Pierce the Veil answered back even louder. What a night!
