UPCOMING FESTIVAL: Lockn’ Festival Announces 2018 and 4-Day Schedules

The 2018 Lockn’ Festival will be held at Infinity Downs and Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia from Thursday, August 23 – Sunday, August 26. Lockn’ organizers have been slowly revealing the lineup for this year’s festival ever since last Thursday, when they confirmed Dead & Company would play two sets a piece on the final two nights of Lockn’ 18. Official Lockn Festival 2018 Schedules

Umphrey’s McGee and Lettuce go back and forth with two sets each to end the first night of the event, Widespread Panic headlines on Friday and as mentioned Dead & Company bring the Main Stage action to a close on Saturday and Sunday. Thursday begins with a Jerry Dance Party curated by the folks at Garcia’s and sets from Erin & The Wildfire and Butcher Brown ahead of the Lettuce > Umphrey’s McGee > Lettuce > Umphrey’s McGee sequence. Joe Russo’s Almost Dead holds down the Relix Stage late night on both Thursday and Friday.

Up first on Friday is a quick performance from Caitlyn Smith, which will be followed by a Ghost Light set featuring Tom Hamilton, Holly Bowling and the rest of the quintet. Next up is Band Of Changes, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Turkuaz, Moon Taxi, Toots & The Maytals, Umphrey’s McGee, George Clinton & P-Funk and Widespread Panic.

The Main Stage ends on Saturday and Sunday with a late afternoon set from Tedeschi Trucks Band and a full Dead & Company show. People’s Blues Of Richmond and Southern Avenue kick things off on Saturday followed by Houston’s The Suffers, the newly-reunited Agents Of Good Roots and jam act Big Something. Legendary funk musicians George Porter Jr. and Zigaboo Modeliste then lead Foundation Of Funk at 3:30 on Saturday before Pigeons Playing Ping and Keller & The Keels set the stage for the evening’s TTB > Dead & Company festivities. Lettuce returns for a late night tribute to the Jerry Garcia Band under the moniker “Don’t Lett Go.”

Keller Williams provides Grateful Gospel to start festivalgoers’ Sunday. Then, Spafford’s debut set at Lockn’ leads into a performance by Matisyahu. On Sunday afternoon, Blues Traveler and Sheryl Crow each have Main Stage sets. As mentioned, the Tedeschi Trucks Band and two sets of Dead & Company bring the festival to a close.
