On the night of November 29th, the Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920 tour was in full force in Los Angeles at the YouTube Theater. The theatrical King Diamond did not disappoint the awaiting fans. Their stage was made up of multiple levels that all the musicians utilized throughout the show. King Diamond frequently spoke to the crowd in between songs and even led everyone in singing Happy Birthday to legendary guitarist, Andy LaRocque. They played a perfect mix of old favorites like “Halloween,” and “Abigail” and then showcased their newer music. The King’s well known falsetto was better than ever and is always an otherworldly thing to experience. Their set went over an hour and no one wanted them to end.

Opening up the night were heavy metal favorites, Night Demon and OverkillNight Demon are a three-piece from Ventura, California and are one of the funnest bands to watch. They pack so much energy along with their musicality. Everyone was talking about them later. They warmed up the crowd for the legendary Overkill. The pit was insane during their entire set. So many fans were in Overkill shirts and were there specifically for them. Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth and D.D. Verni still have so much love for this band and still put on such a killer performance. They completely amped up everyone for King Diamond.

The overall experience was electrifying. So much good energy, the lighting was awesome and everyone left happy. Their entire production is exactly what the fans wanted, and no one was disappointed.

There were a couple of hiccups just recently when they had to cancel some tour dates in Canada and the Pacific Northwest, but they are continuing on in the Southwest. This tour will wrap up in Dallas on December 6th, so make sure to catch them soon.
