Amy Taylor is looking for a fight. At least that what it looks like in my photos of Amyl & The Sniffers at the Palace Theatre, in St. Paul, Minnesota, with special guest, Sheer Mag, this past Wednesday night, May 7, 2025.
Sheer Mag’s live show is an electrifying surge of raw energy and pure rock ‘n’ roll spirit. From the second they hit the stage, there’s no nonsense—just gritty, guitar-fueled power with a retro edge. They dive headfirst into their trademark blend of punk attitude and classic rock riffs, channeling the essence of a 1970s bar band that’s been catapulted into the present day with all its urgency preserved.
Rough and rowdy would be a great way to describe this Australia rock, pink band. From start to finish, this band was going 160mph (km/h if you’re Australian). The energy Amy Taylor puts out, and receives back from the crowd, is absolutely electric. Watching the band and the crowd interact created an atmosphere that encouraged a boundless energy exchange that kept everyone enamored with each other.
Also to say “fuck it” and absolutely go off in the pit!
They tore through a 21 song set list with ease.
I would absolutely go see them again in a heartbeat. Hopefully you got your tickets, as I’m pretty sure this world tour is sold out everywhere.
