It was a gloomy night in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. But the show must go on as Yungblud made their sold-out Omaha metro debut playing Stir Cove at Harrah’s. Many people packed the venue for this one-of-a-kind performer.
Return to Dust opened the gig. This was my second time seeing these guys and they always bring it live. It was amazing getting to see them perform to this big of crowd. They have incredible musicianship and they bring something we’ve seen before, but with a fresh new attitude. They even did a cover of OutKast’s “Hey Ya”. You can tell they have the best time on stage. Looking forward to seeing these guys, again, when they open up for Theory of a Deadman and Sevendust.
Finally, the crowd was ready for Yungblud. I was not too familiar with him until he performed and stole the show last year at the Back to the Beginning event honoring the legend, Ozzy Osbourne. It was also the eve of Dominic’s birthday and the fans did not forget about that. The man is saving rock n roll. The energy he brings to his live show is impeccable. It’s like he was born to perform to the masses. It’s been a while we had a rock n roll sex symbol of this magnitude before. He also had a great band of players behind him, including a duo of string players. And hearing the crowd sing to every word was quite remarkable. It shows that people are really engaged with this guy and the art he puts out. A stand out moment was when during “Fleabag” he pulled a woman from the crowd who knew how to play the song on guitar. Another stand out moment was his cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes”, which he nails vocally. He ended his concert with “Zombie”, his hit song, and then right after that it started to storm. Talk about perfect timing. Yungblud is going to be one of those artists that will keep on getting bigger and bigger and you’ll remember him playing in front of a couple thousand people in Iowa. I’m excited to see where his career goes.
