The Spaceman himself kicked off  everyone’s holiday a night early as he made his stop at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York just only 15 minutes from the Bronx where the Spaceman was born.

As the house lights went dark fans old and new immediately rose out of the seats and pushed their way to the stage in the isles as close as they could. Ace hit the stage with his new and improved band, consisting  Jeremy Asbrock and Ryan Cook on guitars, Phil Shows on bass, and Matt Starr behind the drums. The new members came out on fire sounding as tight as a veteran group, while Ace being Ace was just okay, but he was also never known for being the best singer, but to make up for his vocals, Ace would put it down on the guitar only how the true iconic Spaceman is known to do pleasing the crowd all the more while. Ace even took time out to crack a joke about how he got arrested years ago in Westchester driving his Delorean.

The setlist was a bit mind boggling considering out of the 12 song set 8 of them where Kiss covers, which in fact didn’t seem to bother the crowd at all. The other members took lead vocals on a few KISS songs which they sounded great in doing so, again with Ace’s vocals being an aquired taste it was probably better for all. Ace’s strength still is his guitar playing and he did not miss a beat. All of his classic riffs were on display, from the opening notes of the classic “Rip It Out” to the Spaceman’s iconic smoking guitar solo the fans love it all.

Setlist:

  1. Rip It Out
  2. Parasite (Kiss Cover)
  3. hard Times (Kiss Cover)
  4. Watchin’ You  (Kiss Cover)
  5. Rockin’ With the Boys
  6. Rocket Ride (Kiss Cover)
  7. Rock Soldiers
  8. Detroit Rock City (Kiss Cover)
  9. New York Groove (Hello Cover)
  10. Shock Me (Kiss Cover)
  11. Guitar Solo
  12. Cold Gin (Kiss Cover)
  13. Deuce (Kiss Cover)
