An impressive night of hard core music held at Benson Historic District’s The Waiting Room lounge in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday, February 26th by Eternal Sleep, a heavy metal band from Pittsburgh, PA; Chicago’s straight edge metal/hardcore punk Harm’s Way; Knocked Loose, Oldham County, KY-based hardcore punk; and finally Buffalo-based metal core Every Time I Die as headliner of the night. In supporting of their latest album Low Teens which released on September of last year, Every Time I Die started their 32 cities North American tour on February 1st in State College, Pennsylvania at State Theatre throughout March 10th in Amityville, NY at Revolution Bar & Music; Omaha was their 22nd stop.
The mood and atmosphere inside the venue was a quite different experience for me. It’s not that it was my first concert experience; I have attended many concerts by popular performers; haven’t seen so much moshing and crowd-surfing went on inside the building. Some fans got onto the stage, jumped around briefly that the bands did not mind, then tossed themselves from the stage into the crowd. I think that was hilarious, but the important thing was that many fans enjoyed themselves. No wonder I noticed more security people there that night; that was for their safety measure’s sake.
Geez! What an awesome, energetic live performances for one evening!!
