VOSH was conceived in 2019 by vocalist Josephine Olivia (Blacksage) and drummer/synthesist/bassist Chris Moore (Repulsion). About VOSH:

Conceived by Chris Moore (Repulsion) and Josephine Olivia (Blacksage) in Washington DC in 2019, VOSH conjures a sound that’s equal parts sensual and sinister. Channelling  haunting echoes of bands like Bauhaus, Ministry, Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails and Siouxsie and the Banshees, the bewitching three piece (with guitarist Tim Bean) stirs an intoxicating potion of heavy metal, goth, industrial, darkwave and pop.

VOSH’s debut album, VESSEL, was released in early 2023 to mass critical praise and earned them a worldwide cult following. Featuring mesmerizing singles like “Bleed As One,” “Perfection,” “Superstition” and “Pray,” the record is a dynamic collection of music that escapes conventional genres with nostalgic yet completely original soundscapes of lush dissonance.  Led by the inimitable Josephine Oliva, the shapeshifting band thrashes and slithers with dramatic force as heavy riffs collide in harmony with her alluring siren songs.

VESSEL was self-recorded by the band with Kevin Bernsten from Developing Nations assisting on mixing and Magnus Lindberg (Tribulation, Russian Circles, Lucifer, Hellacopters, Frida Hyvönen, etc) mastering the effort.
