On Saturday night September 28, 2019, The Waiting Room Lounge and Reverb Lounge hosted the fourth annual Midwest Masquerade.  Both venues, located in the heart of the Benson area in Omaha, Nebraska, were connected by an indoor corridor, which allowed patrons to go back and forth.  Each location was outfitted with a mirrored stage, smoke machines, laser lights, and DJs.  Attendees were encouraged to wear masks and dress in formal attire, and the atmosphere was designed to feel like a traditional masquerade ball.  At first, I was a little surprised that each of the venues weren’t filled with more people, but as the night progressed, the party grew.  There’s a certain mystique about events like this, because most attendees wear masks, so any traditional conversation is pretty much out the window.

The night was jammed packed with entertainment as a who’s-who list of talented DJs performed.  Anyone in attendance would agree that this was an awesome event, and the masquerade theme was a nice change of pace for Omaha.

The non-stop list of artists who performed were:

DJ It
DJ Super Paul
Hyddin
Loveland
Redhed
B2B
Angie Spence
Mace
Zarkilor
TRVPSQUAD
Maren Saddler
Million Dollar Hippys
Odinson
Oceanz
Darkwood
String Theory
EZB
Strap Back
Bassthoven
