Slayer w/ Lamb of God & Behemoth | Concert Review | LA Forum | August 5, 2017

MAURICE NUNEZ | Go Venue Magazine

It was a full house on hand in Los Angeles to see probably one of the best shows of the summer. Behemoth, Lamb of God, and Slayer SOLD OUT at the LA Forum. Ran into many people I knew, including London May of Samhain and Ritual. Seemed like this was the show to be at for summer.

Behemoth were up first with a brutal set. I hadn’t seen these guys live in years, so it was great to see Nergal and crew tear it up. The crowd was totally into them. I hope to see them again soon.

Then it was time for Lamb of God. Randy and his band never disappoint. A very energetic set that kept the crowd going with songs like Laid to Rest, 512, Blacken the Cursed Sun, and Redneck. A killer set all around.

Finally, it was time for the headliner. Slayer had a full film crew on hand to capture the mayhem that ensued throughout the night. The first time I saw these guys was at the Olympic Auditorium here in LA in 1986. To this day, they still tear it up and have a loyal allegiance of rabid, headbanging fans. Hail Slayer!
