NAMM Show 2018

January 25 to 28, 2018 – Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California

NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA

This was the first time I had ever been to NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). This is the a place where all the Music Merchants get to show case their latest and great products to all the music retail stores. I never realized how big this convention was, it is certainly massive to say the least. Reminded of the San Diego Comic Con, but even bigger. The convention itself was 4 days long starting on Thurs. January 25th through Sun. January 28th. I was able to attend on Saturday, the busiest day of the convention.

I was mainly there to catch up with long time friend Mr. Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein. I was able to catch up with him at the ‘Rock N Roll Industries Magazine’ both where he was signing the latest issue featuring himself on the cover. Has a great feature on his band Doyle.

They have been on the road promoting his latest album “As We Die.” And then recently prior this, I had seen him in Las Vegas and Los Angeles for the OG Misfits reunion shows.

While hanging out with Doyle, it was great to see Steve Zing and London May there as well. Steve of course from Danzig and Samhain and London from Samhain. It was awesome to catch up with them all. I also had a chance to catch up with Nergal from Behemoth. Another great friend who’s also a big DANZIG fan. Look for shows from both DANZIG and Behemoth later this year. I also caught some glimpses of Alice Cooper, Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), and Vinnie Paul (HELLYEAH AND Pantera).

Overall a great time this year and great to catch up with close friends!

Until next year…
